MediaLab @ Japanisches Palais Dresden

Client: Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden, TheConstitute
Goal: 3D Viz, Workshops
The Media Lab is equipped with creative technologies such as 3D printers, VR glasses, laptops, laser cutters, robots, and AI software, and focuses on digital design and manufacturing technologies. In collaboration with "The Constitute", a studio for design, art, and technology, open workshop times and workshops are offered here. The place is open to all interested people and offers space, particularly for young artists and designers, experimental craftsmen and women, and creative technologists and scientists. Through various formats and open offers, creative technologies and artistic processes are made participatory and encouraged for individual works. The open offers introduce repair and DIY culture, as well as the topics of sustainability and technology criticism.
For the spatial planning and scenic implementation of the Media Lab, I worked with TheConstitute and Haakon Hilse to develop 3D sketches that visually locate the implementation of the design in space and visualize the furniture with their technology placement and usage.
